Working Dog Fact File – Floss the newest member to Harry’s four legged team, she’s helping round up some our organic store lambs into a pen ready for grading. Floss concentrates on gathering the sheep together and driving them forward into the pen, whilst ensuring there are none left behind. By using vocal commands and different tones of the whistle Harry is able to move her left, right, forward, back, stand and to go and look for any outlying sheep left behind. At 2 ½ years old Floss is a valuable member of the team but still has a lot to learn. We are really looking forward to seeing how she comes on and works with other members of the dog pack at Pollybell.
