Here, our early season broccoli is being weeded by Jonny and the 9 row Garford camera guided hoe. This machine has cameras to depict the positioning of each plant and hoe weeds out in between each individual plant and between the rows. The blades rotate around the plant to remove weeds and leaves them to dry out in the sun. We use this machine until the canopy of the crop grows and creates good ground cover to shadow the weeds out and restrict sunlight coming in.
