Here is an update of our SSSI Wetland that has recently undergone a lot of restoration work. The management of this temporary wetland provides habitats for wading birds, swans and ducks through the winter and then it will be grazed through the drier summer months. The sluice gates have been renovated and we are able to increase water flow onto the area when the neighbouring River Idle is high. Here you can see the area is already in use by a family of Swans and various other bird species.
