Pollybell Farms are the proud recipients of the Farm Innovation of the Year Award at this year’s Food and Farming Industry Awards for founding and funding of agri-tech start up, Earth Rover. The award was accepted by John Taylor and Carolyn Coxe on behalf of the team at Pollybell and Earth Rover. Pollybell identified the need for increased automated field intelligence gathering in the form of scouting. Now able to scout large areas of crops and gain information down to individual plant level we are gathering data across Europe and creating a platform where growers and see live information on plant location, size and height. With this information we can build further crop intelligence and have begun developing laser weeding technology whilst mounting on autonomous vehicles or existing farm machinery.
