The team packing our organic leeks just before Christmas. Some key facts below:
– Packing at 50 packs per minute
– Packaging of the leeks helps maintain hydration and therefore improves the shelf life and helps maintain product quality.
– Heat seal operates at 120 degrees.
– Multi head weigher- weighs each leek individually and calculates the best combination of leeks to give desired pack weight and correct number of leeks per pack. The machine carries out 10’s of calculations per second.
