To help us visualise the size and scale of managing our farmed environment it helps if we take a birds eye view across different parts of the farm. In our most southerly block we see quite an open landscape which has the River Idle meandering through it. This picture demonstrates well the network of varying habitats we are establishing to create network wildlife corridors for different species to move freely across the landscape whilst finding water, food and shelter. This in combination with maintaining productivity and producing great quality food is no mean feat and we constantly re-evaluate our systems to see what we can improve upon.
